elim_garakFor those who may not be familiar with the character, Garak is a big fat Cardassian spy. He's very good at what he does and was among the elite of the elite from his canon point. He doesn't necessarily do anything with the information he gathers, and he doesn't even necessarily do it for a purpose. It's just a thing he does. If he's in an area, he's gonna sneak around and spy on people to gather as much data as he can on them and his surroundings. In part because in Amat specifically there are lots of cultures, histories and races here that are alien to him, so the more information he has the better.
And in part because you never know when information might be useful.
So this is when you come in, good players of Amat! My default for him is if your character has made a public post/comment, he's likely read it. If it's private or an in-person encounter, obviously he doesn't have that information.
THAT BEING SAID: If you are not okay with Garak knowing these things, please let me know! We can work out some reason why Garak isn't able to read your player's posts or whatever so it all irons out ICly. Alternately if there are extra things you want Garak to know about your character -- IE since Garak gardens at Mao he may notice your character visiting frequently, see your character out and about with someone they aren't supposed to be with, etc -- let me know. I'm also totally open to using him for any plots you might have!
